About Mockups
Mockups have long been used to show clients and investors what a product will look like when it’s completed, but they’re increasingly being used on social media and in other marketing materials.
Mockups can be used in most marketing collateral items, including:
- Advance Information sheets (AI)
- Media Kits
- Social media imagery
- White Deer Publishing website product pages, featured images, and link previews

Website Product Images
Our website uses a standard background color, image size, and mockup size for the primary product image.
Link Previews
Mockups are included in the link preview image White Deer Publishing adds to the SEO settings for each book page on our website. Reviews or other marketing content are generally included in the image as well.
That way, if anyone shares the link to the book page, these would be images that show in the link preview. Depending on the platform, these images could also be shared on social media directly.
